Happy Father’s Day!
Father’s Day is this Month. BUT why would I mention this to YOU?
Well, since you have been kind enough to be a part of our business, I wanted to take the opportunity to Tell ALL OF THE FATHERS that read this HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!! I am sure that some of us have been great, some good and some not so good in this area. For I know personally that it is a role that said within itself contains responsibility, care, stewardship, unconditional love, pride, discipline, the responsibility of being the head of homes, leaders of families, role models to children, providers of means, protectors from dangers, sources of optimism and encouragement, shoulders to bear heavy loads, visionaries for future well beings, teachers and instructors of sons and daughters, caregivers to elderly parents, husbands and even sons to their own parents. The Father seems to have an ‘invisible, unspoken charge’ to be the BEST he can be despite all adversity and to wear his wounds ‘inside’ without showing those around him that he has been wounded from the constant battles, failures and defeats; and humbly walk in the victories as if the failures and victories both do not affect him. To some he is seen as a ‘Superman’, but to himself, he recognizes that he is just a man. A man striving to be the best man he can be. Even in his role as a Father. I’d like to celebrate my father who tried to protect me from the things he had to face in life. I’d also like to celebrate another great father George Lee Stearnes for he without knowing impacted my life in such a way that helped to ‘water’ the gift that was put in me. The two of them are greatly missed. Celebrate those fathers and those who are Father figures in your life. For they too are just men striving to be the best they can be.
